NR-IR-SBR - Hard rubber

Ebonite, or rather hard rubber, as the terms “ebonite” is not universally used, is one of the earliest forms of plastic.

It was initially obtained by Charles Goodyear by means of prolonged rubber vulcanization, using 30% - 40% of sulphur.
Hard rubber, also thanks to its particular chemical structure, is successfully used for the rubber lining of equipments, which must withstand the most severe chemical and mechanical actions.

It is used for the lining of containers, tanks, ventilators, centrifuges, end boxes and for chlorine electrolysis process.
Particularly, the remarkable characteristics of this lining are its high resistance to the diffusion and the outstanding mechanical properties.
The use at the max temperatures of 100°C is admitted.
