Blasting

All surfaces to be processed must be clean, dry and free from traces of oil, grease, etc.

If necessary, remove these substances using solvent and wait until the surface is entirely dry.

If the metal has been in contact with chemical products, it must be carefully cleaned with proper methods, in order to avoid any trace of contamination.

The parts not to be rubber lined, already processed with a high level of precision, during the blasting must be adequately protected form eventual damages.

The surfaces to be processed must be blasted in order to eliminate any trace of oxide or milling scale or any foreign material.

Abrasive material to be used can be: rough cast iron grit.

Abrasive material to be used must be cleaned from dust and impurities. In case of equipment with abrasive recycling, the equipment must be complete of screening and dust aspiration devices.

After blasting the surface must be cleaned from residuals of grit and from dust.
