Lining operation

Rubber lining of various equipment
Lay the rubber sheet on the working table, normal or hot, as requested by the type of lining, and inspect the calendered sheet to ascertain that no defect is present. In case part of the sheet is not in order, remove the part.

After laying of sheet on the table, cut the sheet to required size and shape.

Apply the adhesive following directions indicated in corresponding material specification.

The rubber sheet will made adhering to the metallic surface.

Press the sheet to assure the correct adhesion to the metal and removing eventual air pockets.

Cut excess of material by sharp blades and press carefully.

Inspect the lining.

Lining of nozzles, manholes and pipes of shape and dimensions which can be processed by manual tooling
Lay the rubber sheet on the working table, normal or hot, as requested by the type of lining, and inspect the calendered sheet to ascertain that no defect is present.
In case part of the sheet is not in order, remove the part.

Cut the sheet to required size and length of the pipe to be lined.

Wind up the piece of rubber sheet forming a pipe and insert it into metal pipe to be lined.

Press the sheet to the metal in order to obtain a correct adhesion and avoid air pockets.

Inspect the lining.

Lining of pipes with the press equipment
The preparatory steps are similar to those described for the manual rubber lining of the pipes.

If, due to the size of the pipes, the manual rubber lining is not possible, Tamburini has got such as up to date equipments of own construction, which allow the rubber lining of the internal surface of the pipes, assuring a perfect adhesion and thickness uniformity of on the whole rubber lined surface.

Inspection before the vulcanization
The inspection before the vulcanization must be performed as per following tests: visual inspection
check of lining porosity
